- ASTM F-67: Pure, unalloyed titanium. This is the safest metal for sensitive ears because it is the least likely to cause a reaction. We use this for almost all of our earrings.
- ASTM F-136: Implant grade titanium. This is an biocompatible alloy containing aluminum, vanadium, and titanium. We use this for our flat back studs.
- STAINLESS STEEL: We use this as a base metal for our bracelets and necklaces. We always use nickel free and lead free stainless steel. It is then plated with titanium nitride, a biocompatible material, to further protect sensitive skin.
- COATING: Titanium nitride PVD is applied to our gold jewelry to give it an 18k gold color. Titanium nitride is a hypoallergenic material that is more durable and resistant to wear than gold plating.
- CARE: Since the materials we use are non-tarnishing, our jewelry can be worn in the water and will not change color, rust, tarnish or turn green.

These are great! The post is a little longer than expected but i think that’s on me picking thr wrong length. The pearl is really pretty and looks great with a bunch of other earrings.
I got these studs to wear as an adult because some of the other styles were sold out. I think the post size is great for adult ears, but will also sometimes use a rubber back for earrings which are also very secure and comfortable. The prong length has never been an issue for me since I think it's more protective of the pearl piece if it's bumped or jostled.
So far so good. I haven’t taken them off other than when I went to the beach. No irritation or major itchiness. I’ve had small real pearl earrings before but the pearl fell off after 3 months, repaired them and then fell off after a year. So I will have to wait to see if Tini Lux is still intact after 3 months/ 1 year. But so far so good! :)
My 4 year old got her ears pierced and 6 months later started having repeated infections. Our pediatrician suggested that it was a metal allergy which seemed crazy to me since we were using gold earrings. Well and internet search led me to Tini Lux and I can say her ears are finally healing and looking healthy! I’m so glad we found tini lux and we don’t have to let her ears heal shut.
I ordered these with the screw on backs. They were as promised and the very 1st earrings I could wear without making my ears itch in over 2 years!!! They are beautiful and very well made. I ordered knowing they were for kids, but I am a 50 year old and they fit perfectly!
