Materials

ASTM F-67: Pure, unalloyed titanium. This is the safest metal for sensitive ears because it is the least likely to cause a reaction. We use this for almost all of our earrings.

ASTM F-136: Implant grade titanium. This is an biocompatible alloy containing aluminum, vanadium, and titanium. We use this for our flat back studs.

STAINLESS STEEL: We use this as a base metal for our bracelets and necklaces. We always use nickel free and lead free stainless steel. It is then plated with titanium nitride, a biocompatible material, to further protect sensitive skin.

COATING: Titanium nitride PVD is applied to our gold jewelry to give it an 18k gold color. Titanium nitride is a hypoallergenic material that is more durable and resistant to wear than gold plating.

CARE: Since the materials we use are non-tarnishing, our jewelry can be worn in the water and will not change color, rust, tarnish or turn green.

Bought these as a bit of a fun alternative to a simple hoop but I end up wearing these more than any of my other earrings. I really appreciate that TiniLux makes genuinely cute earrings that don't bother my ears. I hope you come out with more options and varieties soon! I want them all!

Titanium earrings

So far I have had no negative reaction wearing the hoops I purchased so I am happy with that purchase. They are well made - not cheap or flimsy. I have another pair of studs coming soon (the opal studs) and hope it is the same with those earrings. I have been tested for metal allergies and do have an allergy to nickel so finding Tini lux was a plus for me.

The solution to the problem

My daughter has had her ears pierced since she was 3 months old. I was that cautious mom, did it all the right way... took her to a pediatrician to get her ears pierced, followed the after care to the T, I was constantly cleaning her ears. When enough time had passed to be able to change them out without closing, I made sure the earnings were 14K everything and still she always would complain that they hurt and stuff came out the holes, it would look like her ears were trying to suck in the earring. I tried different earrings, expensive earrings and they all failed miserably. I would literally just put them on her if we were going somewhere and then take them out. I started to do research into what was causing this issue, I accidentally stumbled upon this Tini Lux website and it just made sense. I literally thought to myself, why did I never think about this! So I ordered her first pair for Christmas. Of course, at first she complained and cried because she thought it would be the same as every other time. But nope, she has had them in for 2 days without complaints. This morning when she was getting dressed, she said, "Mommy, I forgot I had earrings on!" 😅 Thank you! This has truly changed things for us.
