Congratulations, everyone. We have gone through what was likely an incredibly difficult year in all of our lives, and we came out on the other side stronger. In the spirit of being hopeful about 2021 and the future, let's visit something light and positive: 2021 fashion trends!
While hypoallergenic earrings and titanium earrings soar in popularity, so too do these fresh new styles. Many even echo the hypoallergenic earring trend in that they put comfort and good health first. After researching several sources, I have concluded that the styles of 2021 can be summed up
Vogue UK reports that black and white ensembles will be having a real ~moment~ in 2021, and I can see why. There is something distinctly classic yet avant-garde about a structured monochrome outfit. To really flesh out the monochrome look, pair with geometric earrings that won't irritate your ears.

The Trend Spotter points to an 80's favorite making a big return in 2021, and as someone who has already fully embraced the return of baggy cargo pants, this trend speaks to me. Oversized suits have a certain boss-babe quality that says, "business, but make it high fashion." Also, anything oversized is more comfortable, so that's something to celebrate as well. Pair with chunky hoop earrings, of course!

Another favorite from The Trend Spotter: black face masks. While it is somewhat of a bummer that all our favorite lip colors will still be taking a back seat for the foreseeable future, this is a good opportunity to embrace the fashion element of masks. A black face mask is actually rather elegant looking, and black matches most every outfit you could wear.

To conclude, I would like to include the beautifully abstract trend prediction provided by Sourcing Journal:
"With coronavirus vaccines rolling out across the world, hopes are high that life will return to some semblance of normalcy by summertime. Fashion is bound to reflect this optimistic mood. While tie-dye kept spirits high during quarantine, anticipate the post-pandemic wardrobe to evolve with work-friendly color blocking and colorful metallic coatings and trims—pieces intended to stand out and be seen."

Just look to Pantone's colors of the year for 2021: Ultimate Gray and Illuminating Yellow. One seems to symbolize the banality and grim nature of 2020, while the other offers a bright, sunny optimism for the year to come. Add some Sunburst Charms to your favorite titanium earrings to emphasize this.
Hope springs eternal! Here's to keeping your chin up and your ears happy in 2021.
